Opening night is fast approaching! We debut at the New York International Fringe Festival in a matter of days… If you’re around, here’s some more information about the production!
Trinidadian writer and performer Caroline Taylor presents the world premiere of her one-woman show, PACK LIGHT, as part of the 10th Annual New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC). She is the first Trinidadian ever to write and present
PACK LIGHT invites us to think outside the check-boxes that define our lives. This one-woman, multi-media performance combines autobiography, character sketches, original video, and Afro-Caribbean music and dance in a funny, candid and moving reflection on cultural schizophrenia. With unflinching honesty and infectious off-beat humor, Caroline invites you into her world to share the joys and perils of wrangling Caribbean and British parentage; navigating U.S. life and airport security as a (legal!) alien; and being a multiracial and bi-national potpourri in a world of far too many check-boxes, where everyone keeps asking: “So…what are you, anyway?”
